SECURITY SUMMIT: Oyo Assembly Want Resolutions Implementation



Rising from its Yoruba plenary on Wednesday, the Oyo State House of Assembly has adopted a motion calling on the Oyo State government to implement the various resolutions reached at the end of the south West security summit held recently in the City of Ibadan. 

The house also called on the state government to prevail on the various security agencies in the state to beef up security in every nook and cranny of Oyo State to reduce crime especially the rising cases of kidnapping and ritual killings witnessed in some parts of the state.



The plenary presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin equally called on the heads of various security agencies in Oyo State to work as a synergy in ensuring that perpetrators of kidnapping and ritual killings are not only apprehended but also prosecuted to serve as deterrent to other criminally minded individuals across the state.


The sitting equally called for the full implementation of the Oyo State kidnapping prohibition law of 2016.
