Gov. Makinde Reiterate Commitment To Education, Using UNESCO Standard.

The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Oluseyi Makinde has reiterated his commitment to maintaining 15 to 20 percent of annual budgets be earmarked for education as United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) standard for education in the state.



Governor Makinde, affirmed dedication to education in the state through his Deputy Governor, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan at 1st the Distinguished Annual Lecture of the First Technical University, Ibadan; with the theme: " Technology, Culture and Society." 

The Governor who called for the re-calibration of educational system, enjoined the students of First Technical University, Ibadan to elevate their skills in accordance with the dictates of Modern society which will enable them to function at maximum capacity.




The highpoint of the event is the commissioning of IGR-FUNDED LECTURE THEATRES A AND B of the First Technical University, Ibadan, Oyo State by his Excellency, Engineer Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde, The Executive Governor of Oyo State.
