Oyo Govt Turn Against Slow Pace Of Federal UBEC/SUBEB Projects


Oyo State Government has decried the slow pace of ongoing FGN-UBEC/SUBEB projects in all the nooks and crannies of the State.

The State Chairman, Universal Basic Education Board, Dr Nureni Adeniran expressing the dissatisfaction during his on-the-spot inspection to the sites of the project at the Ogbomosho zone area of Oyo State.

The Chairman, while speaking at the sites of the projects in Ogo-Oluwa, Ogbomosho North, Ogbomosho South and Oriire LGAs, promised that the Board will ensure speedy completion of the projects and sanction any recalcitrant contractor who takes his work with levity hands.

In a statement by the media Officer to the SUBEB, Mr Olamide Adeniji quoted the Chairman “I am not happy with the situation of projects in Ogbomosho zone. The Government of Oyo State will ensure these projects are completed, so we expect these contractors to come to our office and give us reasons why these projects have been abandoned”, he concluded.

He therefore summoned all concerned contractors in the Government projects to come to the SUBEB Office Headquarter in Agodi, Ibadan, to give explanations on the delay.
