Makinde Reiterates Commitment To Declare Asset Publicly.

The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has gotten his personal copy of the submitted assets declaration form at the state’s Code of Conduct Bureau, Ibadan, This Monday.

While briefing newsmen at the end of the exercise, the governor Reiterated his promise of declaring his asset to the public and encouraged his cabinet memebers to follow suit.

 
In his remark, state Director, Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), Mr. Moses Atolagbe said the step was in fulfillment of the law for elected officers to declare assets on assumption of office and get their copies there-after.

He, noted that the Code of Conduct Act makes it mandatory for all civil servants to do so. But the Act does not make it compulsory that it is done publicly.


It would be recall that, the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde had on  28th May, 2019 submitted his assets declaration form at the state CCB.

Makinde To Appoint Adviser On Labour Matters, Negotiate Minimum Wage With Workers

The Oyo State governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde has congratulated the Nigerian Labour Congress in Oyo State on this year’s Labour Day and urged them to protect the interest of their members. In a release signed by his spokesperson, Prince Dotun Oyelade, Makinde said it is pertinent for the labour union and government to engage in constant dialogue in a very transparent and sincere manner to move the state forward at the advent of new administration in the state. He further asked them to discourage members from acts of collusion with desperate politicians who are taking advantage of the transitional period in the state. He reassured the union that his administration will be labour friendly and involve them in the day to day running of the administration by creating the office of a Special Adviser on Labour Matters.
