Makinde Pledges To Settle 8-year Misunderstanding On Central Abattoir-Amosun-Village.

The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Oluseyi Makinde, this Wednesday, said he will summon all stakeholders that were involved in the establishment of The Central Abattoir, Amosun Village, Ibadan to a round table meeting where a lasting solution to the long over due Misunderstanding that split the Oyo state Butchers Association into two-faction would be addressed.
The governor stated this when he paid on the spot assessment visit to The Central Abattoir, Amosun Village, Ibadan to solve the over 8-years dispute among the Oyo state Butchers, stakeholders and Developer.
The governor, who noted that the matter is beyond Politics and Friendship, affirmed that Within the next one week, he will engaged all sides and ring out a fair deal to the people of Oyo State.
He urged butchers operating at the Central Abattoir, Amosun Village, Ibadan to Cooperate with the investor/developer so as not to give a bad impression to others wanting to partner with the state in economic growth.
In their remarks, Engineer Abiodun Amadu, chairman, central abattoir-Amosun Village, Ibadan and the Abattoir secretary, Olagoke Lateef, unanimously pledged to comply with the decision of the governor in moving the state forward.
Present at the visit were: Chief of Staff to the governor, Bisi Ilaka; Head of Service, Mrs. Amidat Agboola; Permanent Secretary, Ministry Of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development, Mr Victor Atilola; The Executive Adviser to the Governor on Agri-Business, Dr. Debo Akande and the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Shina Olukolu.
