BREAKING: Gov Makinde Submit Commissioners List to Assembly.

Governor Seyi Makinde has forwarded the names of his would-be commissioners to the Oyo State House of Assembly.

This is coming close to two months after he was inaugurated.
The ‘sealed envelope’ is expected to be open and read by Speaker, Adebo Ogundoyin, at plenary tomorrow.
Gov. Makinde hasn’t been having it easy dealing with nomination especially as it relates to coalition parties.
Recall that the African Democratic Congress, ADC; Zenith Labour Party, ZLP; Social Democratic Party, SDP and others had endorsed Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, against Oloye Adebayo Adelabu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
On the list are a former speaker of the state Assembly, Right Honourable Kehinde Ayoola; a  former member of the Assembly, Honourable Adeniyi Farinto and former council chairman, Wasiu Olatubosun.
Some of the newly listed nominees included Mr Seun Asamu, who is the 32-year-old lawyer son of Senator Monsurat Sunmonu; Director General of Seyi Makinde Campaign Organisation, Chief Bayo Lawal;  Other are Professor D.K Shangodoyin, who headed the Omituntun Initiative in Diaspora; Professor Oyewo and another professor.
Former governor Rashidi Ladoja’s personal lawyer, Biodun Abdulraheem, also made the list.
Also learnt some of the earlier listed names, particularly from the coalition parties, were replaced principally as a result of the clash in local government of origin/federal constituency of origin or power play within the coalition.
Also understands that some of the earlier listed individuals who were later dropped from the list sent to the lawmakers could either be sent in a supplementary list or be given other appointments.
But When contacted by OYOINSIGHT reporter, the speaker denied receipt of the list, saying that: “Everybody is saying that we have been given the list. But we are expecting the list to come to us very soon.”
