Adebo Ogundoyin has urged the parliamentarian colleagues in the South-West Geo-Political Zone to give legislative supports to  the recently launched regional security network codenamed 'Operation Amotekun'. Former  Chief Whip of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olafisoye Akinmoyede was today Thursday 23rd January, 2020 discharged and acquitted by a High Court No. 7, Ring Road, Ibadan over two count charges of murder preferred against him and three others. Accused, Hon. Olafisoye Akinmoyede, Alh. Rafiu Alimi, Alhaji Rasheed Oladele and Kazeem Ayinde were standing trial over an alleged involvement in the death of late Temitope Olatoye popularly known as ‘Sugar’, who was shot dead during the March 9, 2019 gubernatorial and State House of Assembly election in Nigeria. Raheem Ajibola over the gesture he extended to the jambites in his constituency and Iseyin at large. In an interactive session with one of the beneficiaries and current student of Double Major College, Adeola Shukurah said the Iseyin South Chairman deserved commendation and appreciation for organising a free jamb lesson that the learners need not to pay a dime, adding that the gesture came at a material time when some average parents, guardians and self sponsored students could not afford the payment for the exercise. All Progressives Congress stalwart, Bola Tinubu, has lambasted those who criticised him for not speaking on South-West security outfit, Amotekun, describing them as adversaries. Tinubu said in a statement that those pushing him to speak did not do so in the interest of the nation but for their personal political reasons. Afenifere chieftains, Chief Ayo Adebanjo; and Senator Femi Okurounmu, had in a report published by Sunday PUNCH challenged Tinubu to speak on the matter. Adebanjo, who is 91 years old, had claimed that Tinubu’s presidential ambition had beclouded his judgement. The Federal Government of Nigeria has granted approval to former Minister of Communications, Barr. Adebayo Shittu’s request to rehabilitate the Saki Water Supply Scheme. Shittu who hails from Saki wrote to  the Buhari led-government in 2017 while he was still in office as a Minister. In a letter obtained by insideoyo.com dated 8th of January, 2020, the Water Scheme project include the rehabilitation of the conventional Water Treatment to install capacity of 3.300m3/d, replacing the Low and High lift Pump, supply and installation of transmission pipes of the reservoir. Also, the supply and installation of pipes to some areas in the town, renovation of the administrative building and installation of solar plant will be done. The Ministry of Water Resources said Messrs Jidadu Ventures Limited emerged as the bidder in the procurement process. The site handing over is slated for Thursday, 23rd of January, 2020. The Caretaker Chairman of Iseyin South Local Council Development Area(LCDA), Iseyin, Area of Oyo State, Hon.Raheem Ajibola has described the collection of money at Ajumoda and Atoori water works in Iseyin as a negation that goes contrary to the implementation of blueprints of Governor Seyi Makinde. While giving the marching order over the stoppage of collection of money at Ajumoda water works in Iseyin, Ajibola lamented that the collection of money from domestic water fetchers that was introduced by the last administration at public water works was a calculated attempt to inflict unnecessary hardship on people of his constituency, adding that all the money that was being accrued all in the name of generating Internal Generated Revenue(IGR) had become a thing of the past.
