VIDEO: Sunday Igboho Enjoins Makinde To Consider Someone With Sound Education To Man The PMS

Advice has gone to the Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde to consider someone with sound and quality education to man the affairs of Park Management System(PMS) in the state.

Sunday Adeyemo who is popularly known as 'Sunday Igboho' made the above admonition while speaking with the crew of Naija Today News in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

Sunday Igboho said that it was high time Governor Seyi Makinde considered someone with sound education and versed knowledge of park management system in the state.

He said Makinde should ensure that a square peg is found in a square hole, adding that someone to act as Chairman Disciplinary Committee of PMS should be a person who has adequate knowledge of the tasks, sound education and adherent to order and directives of the state government.

While condemning Alhaji Lamidi Mukaila fondly called ''Auxiliary' as the current chairman, Disciplinary Committee of PMS, Sunday Igboho lamented that someone like Auxiliary is not fit, capable and intellectually sound to handle the affairs of PMS.

He added that Auxiliary was not meticulous and disciplined to handle the tasks of discipline entrusted to him, stressing that since Auxiliary came on board, he had not been living to expectation.
On alleged violence that characterises his current tenure, Sunday Igboho said Auxiliary had been disturbing the sustained peace and tranquility in the state, adding that he directed his cronies recently to beat hell out of the commercial motorcyclists and tricyclists operating at Soka axis of Ibadan.

He said if Auxiliary had known his duties and terms of reference perfectly, he would have known that the commercial motorcyclists and tricyclists are not within the purview of his command.
Not only that but also stated that the alleged fracas and violence at beere and challenged in Ibadan just of recent were orchestrated by Auxiliary.

Sunday Igboho said that he had no hands in the violence and faceoff that ensued  between the park managers and the motorcyclists at Soka recently, adding that the vedio clips of the interviews granted by Oyo ACCOMMORAN Chairman, Alhaji Saheed Folaranmi and some commercial motorcyclists had totally vindicated him.
Sunday Igboho called the attention of Commissioner for Transport, Professor Raphael Afonja and equally GSM to alleged maltreatment and tyrannical use of power  that Auxiliary is exercising on tricyclists and motorcyclists.


He also alleged Auxiliary of collecting more than the government's regulated amounts from the commercial motorists, tricyclists and motorcyclists.
He enjoined Makinde to conduct his opinion polls across Ibadan and see how Auxiliary is terrorizing all motorists, tricyclists and motorcyclists.

He said that Seyi Makinde should go in a memory lane and have firm mastery and understanding of how improper and lawless handling of National Union of Road Transport Union(NURTW) had disorganized and brought  abrupt end to some of the governments in Oyo State, adding that GSM needed to learn from history and act fast so as to prevent similar occurrence of the previous phenomena.


Sunday Igboho reiterated that someone to man the affairs of PMS should be a person with versed knowledge of the assignment and sound education, stressing that Someone like Auxiliary who is currently manning the affairs is a square peg in a round hole.

Makinde To Appoint Adviser On Labour Matters, Negotiate Minimum Wage With Workers

The Oyo State governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde has congratulated the Nigerian Labour Congress in Oyo State on this year’s Labour Day and urged them to protect the interest of their members. In a release signed by his spokesperson, Prince Dotun Oyelade, Makinde said it is pertinent for the labour union and government to engage in constant dialogue in a very transparent and sincere manner to move the state forward at the advent of new administration in the state. He further asked them to discourage members from acts of collusion with desperate politicians who are taking advantage of the transitional period in the state. He reassured the union that his administration will be labour friendly and involve them in the day to day running of the administration by creating the office of a Special Adviser on Labour Matters.
