FACT-CHECK: Oyo ACCOMMORAN Chairman Exonerates SUNDAY IGBOHO's Involvement From Recent Violence At SOKA, Ibadan

The Chairman, Oyo State Chapter of Association of Commercial Motorcycle Riders of Nigeria(ACCOMMORAN), Alhaji Saheed Folaranmi has exonerated Sunday Adeyemo fondly called 'Sunday Igboho' from the recent violence that ensued between the Park Managers and Commercial Motorcyclists operating at Soka axis of Ibadan, Oyo State.

In a vedio interview granted by Folaranmi, he disclosed that Sunday Igboho is a known personality who has no intervention in union activities, stressing that Sunday Igboho remains an international man and peacemaker who usually calls for peace, oneness and togetherness of the union and peaceful coexistence of the state at large.

While speaking on issues that caused violence, Folaranmi said that the park managers in the state were the brain behind the violence and lawlessness at Soka recently, adding that they came with full force to attack the commercial motorcyclists, sequel to their failure and reluctance to pay their daily dues.

He said they were shooting sporadically to the Skye and equally matcheted many motorcyclists to the extent of sustaining various degrees of injury which eventually led them to hospital.

Folaranmi said the matter was reported at Sanyo Police Station when the Divisional Police Officer(DPO) took the concerned two parties to Area Commander at Iyaganku Ibadan for peacekeeping.

With a view to ensuring that peace and justice reign between the concerned quarters, Folaranmi added that he had written letters of petition to the necessary authorities for their immediate intervention.

On quarter authorized to collect the daily dues from the commercial tricyclists and motorcyclists, Folaranmi said that they were compelled to pay the daily dues to the consultants being authorized by Oyo State Government.

He added that they were not authorized to pay to the park managers because the PMs were only concerned with activities of the commercial motorits in the state but not tricyclists and motorcyclists.

Folaranmi add that the call that the Area Commander put across to Commissioner for Transport, Professor Raphael Afonja on whom they should pay to was an evidence of his stance.

He however reiterated that Sunday Igboho has no intervention in the union and he should not be dragged to what he has no knowledge.
