JUST IN: Oyo State Workers To Resume April 20th


Oyo State Workers to resume April 20th, as the State Task Force begins, state and government to commence distribution of palliatives next week.

The Oyo State Government through the Oyo State Task Force set up by Governor Seyi Makinde has declared that state workers would resume to their duty posts by 20th April, 2020.

Governor Seyi Makinde who doubles as the Chairman of the state Task Force stated this today, Wednesday, at a briefing held at the Government House, Agodi, Ibadan.

Engr Makinde said the decontamination of the state secretariat would take place between next week Monday and Wednesday, 13th and 15th respectively.

He added that the team in charge of decontamination would be sending letters to all traditional rulers, religious leaders and private institutions to decontaminate their facilities.

He added that the Task Force is also considering having two additional rapid testing centres which will enable them to map out the behaviour of the the virus.

The Governor noted that the NCDC Protocol is being followed at the approved virology laboratory at the University College Hospital.
The Governor however said the distribution of palliatives to the poorest of the poor will be done throughout next week.

He confirmed that close to Two Hundred Million Naira has been raised through the state endowment fund. He appreciated the donors and urged those that are yet to make their donations to do so on time.

Governor Seyi Makinde said the he wouldn’t rule out orthodox solution otherwise known as home grown solution to fight the dreaded corona virus.
