The newly sworn-in Caretaker Chairman of Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon.(Alh.) Saliman Borikansunwon has pledged that the current adminstration that is led by him would be open, inclusive and transparent.

In his first speech at the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) general meeting held at ward1,Aiyetoro on Saturday,4th January, 2020, Borikansunwon pledged and assured all members of the party that his current adminstration would be open, inclusive and transparent respectively.

He called on all and sundry that his administrative doors would be open for progressive and developmental pieces of advice that would no doubt take the government to enviable heights. 
While appreciating, Borikansunwon appreciated God and all that God used to become the Caretaker Chairman of the local government, stressing that his administration would by God's grace record remarkable and unprecedented achievements.

In his programmes, The local helmsman disclosed that his administration would key into Governor Seyi Makinde's blueprints which are ranged from education, health,economy and security respectively.
In his emphasis, Borikansunwon emphasised that the issue of security  would be given an adequate attention and priority, stressing that anybody who notices any suspicious movement in his/her vicinity or neighbourhood should not mind to take it to the notice of the Law Enforcement Agencies(LEA) for proper and legal actions.
In another development, the Chairman of the party at the local level, Hon.Johnson Ojebiyi enjoined the party members and loyalists to refrain activities, actions and slanderous expressions that could spell doom of the party at the local, state and national levels respectively.

Ojebiyi added that PDP had become a rebranded, reformative and ideologically based political party that its national stakeholders did not want anything contrary to its unique posture in all states of the federation that the party is reigning.
Ojebiyi called on both Christian and Islamic adherents to pray for the party and its members as they just ushered in into new year.

 A total of 14,406 poorest of the poor households across 19 local government areas of Oyo State have been captured to receive N7,500 every month under the World Bank Youth Employment and Social Support Operation (YESSO). State Coordinator, Oyo State Operation Coordinating Unit (SOCU), Mrs Olaide Lasisi, made this known on Wednesday, in Ibadan, at a sensitisation of Chairmen of local government areas in the Community Based Targeting Exercise of the YESSO programme. Makinde To Appoint Adviser On Labour Matters, Negotiate Minimum Wage With Workers

The Oyo State governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde has congratulated the Nigerian Labour Congress in Oyo State on this year’s Labour Day and urged them to protect the interest of their members. In a release signed by his spokesperson, Prince Dotun Oyelade, Makinde said it is pertinent for the labour union and government to engage in constant dialogue in a very transparent and sincere manner to move the state forward at the advent of new administration in the state. He further asked them to discourage members from acts of collusion with desperate politicians who are taking advantage of the transitional period in the state. He reassured the union that his administration will be labour friendly and involve them in the day to day running of the administration by creating the office of a Special Adviser on Labour Matters.
