Oyo Gov Assures Journalists "Freedom of PRESS" in The State.

The Executive Governor of Oyo State Engr. Seyi Makinde has assured journalists in the state of the continous support of his administration in the discharge of their duties. The governor made this remarks today, through his Deputy Engr. Raufu Olaniyan, at the opening ceremony of the Nigeria Union Of Journalists (Oyo State Council) 2019 press week, held at the NUJ Secretariat Iyagunku Ibadan.   Speaking further the governor commended members of the Union for the professional manner with which they performed their duties before, during and after the 2019 elections. BREAKING: Court orders interim forfeiture of 2 Saraki’s houses in Ikoyi

A Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, has ordered the temporary forfeiture of two houses of the immediate past Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki located in Ikoyi area of Lagos State to the Federal Government. LAUTECH: States Willing to Severe Ownership Must Be Ready to Fully Compensate The Other According to The Law Established LAUTECH — Os un Speaker

The Speaker, Osun House of Assembly, Hon Timothy Owoeye has said that the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, LAUTECH, remains the joint property of Osun and Oyo States. The Speaker at plenary held that any view or actions contrary to the law establishing the University would amount an exercise in futility. Oyo Assembly to Pass "Open Rearing and Grazing Regulation Bill" Before End of October — Ogundoyin

The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Mr Adebo Ogundoyin, on Friday, said that the Open Rearing and Grazing Regulation bill would be passed by the Assembly before the end of October. Ogundoyin (PDP/Ibarapa East) said this at a town hall meeting, organised in Eruwa by the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in the state, in collaboration with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. In a reports, the meeting had, as its theme, “Promoting Enduring Democratic Culture through Stewardship by Elected Public Officials”. The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has disclosed that not less than N8 billion would be spent to reconstruct the popular Iwo Road interchange in Ibadan, the state capital. Makinde said his administration was committed to infrastructural development of the State, especially the state capital, so as to restore the old glory of the days when Ibadan was the capital of the Western Region. The Governor made these known on Friday when he joined the Muslim faithful to observe the Jumah service at the Adogba Central Mosque, Iwo Road, Ibadan, saying the project would be completed between nine months and 11 months.
