The Chairman, Oyo  State House of Assembly Parliamentary Council, Ayotunde Fatokun, has dismissed rumours making  the round  that the House  was  planning to impeach the speaker, Rt. Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin, describing  the rumours  as baseless, unfounded and unwarranted.

Honourable Fatokun, who represents Akinyele Constituency 1, said he was not perturbed by such report, since it emanated from the quarters of political jobbers who are yet to recover from the shock of their unceremonious defeat at the 2019 general elections in the state.

He added that the Speaker enjoys the support of his colleagues. He affirmed that the speaker is not under any threat of impeachment by his colleagues.

Ayo Fatokun urged members of the  public to cooperate  with Governor Seyi Makinde its efforts to forestall the larger outbreak of the dreaded disease known as Coronavirus in the state.
