ASP Popoola's Death: Oyo CP Commiserates With Family; Appreciates Government For The Role Played


Oyo State Commissioner of Police, CP Shina T. Olukolu Psc(+) has commiserated with the family of his personal assistant, ASP Olusegun Popoola over untimely and unfortunate death that took him away.

Olukolu in his message of commiseration issued, signed and made available to Naija Today News by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP. Fadeyi Olugbenga equally appreciated the governments at all levels for the role played before and after the demise of the late Police Officer.

In his message, "The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Police Command, CP. Shina T. Olukolu psc(+) on behalf of himself, family and the family of the deceased wishes to express his profound gratitude and immense appreciation to the entire government and the good people of Oyo State, Officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force at the Force Headquarters and Oyo State Command, the Police Community Relations Committee, (PCRC) Oyo State, PCRC South-West, friends, colleagues and associates from all walks of life who have commiserated/ identified with us at this our period of grief".

"The deceased has been closely associated with the Commissioner of Police for close to 30 years. He was a dedicated, loyal, hardworking, respectful and jovial officer who approaches all his assignments with all seriousness it deserves".

"But unfortunately, he passed away at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan on Wednesday 25th March, 2020 after a brief illness. The deceased who later obtained a BSc. degree having enlisted in the Nigeria Police Force as a recruit constable in December 1988 has travelled far and wide in the force in his quest for professionalism and search for knowledge".

"Lastly, I wish to thank the Almighty God for a life well spent and pray for the repose of his gentle soul while we pray for God’s guidance and protection for those of us still alive".
