Oyo PDP Sympathizes With ATIKU; Enjoins People To Disregard Rumour Of Son's Participation At Rally

The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the South West Geo-Political Zone has sympathized with the family of  former Vice President,Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON concerning the infection by one of his sons by corona virus pandemic and equally enjoins people to disregard rumour that the alleged infected son participated at the recent PDP Zonal Rally held in Ibadan.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Oyo State, Taiwo Adisa made the notice available and circulated across all social media on Monday, 23rd March.
Adisa said,"while we sympathise with the family of former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, concerning the infection  of one of his sons by Coronavirus. We want to place on record for the notice of the general public that the information suggesting that the said son of @atiku was the same person that represented him at the South West PDP unification rally in Ibadan, Oyo state is false".

In his continuation, "We have since confirmed that a different member of the Atiku family is the person so infected".
He stressed that,"the public should please ignore such unfounded rumour".

 A total of 14,406 poorest of the poor households across 19 local government areas of Oyo State have been captured to receive N7,500 every month under the World Bank Youth Employment and Social Support Operation (YESSO). Makinde To Appoint Adviser On Labour Matters, Negotiate Minimum Wage With Workers

The Oyo State governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde has congratulated the Nigerian Labour Congress in Oyo State on this year’s Labour Day and urged them to protect the interest of their members. In a release signed by his spokesperson, Prince Dotun Oyelade, Makinde said it is pertinent for the labour union and government to engage in constant dialogue in a very transparent and sincere manner to move the state forward at the advent of new administration in the state. He further asked them to discourage members from acts of collusion with desperate politicians who are taking advantage of the transitional period in the state. He reassured the union that his administration will be labour friendly and involve them in the day to day running of the administration by creating the office of a Special Adviser on Labour Matters.
