Nig Army 2Div Host NAWOJ Volleyball Team On A Novelty Match.

The 2 Division Nigerian Army host the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists Volleyball team and the 2 Division Tigress Volleyball Team at the Sport Complex, Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Odogbo - Ibadan.

In a statement released to Naija TODAY News by Deputy Director Army Public Relations 2 Division Nigerian Army, Col Hassan Ifijeh Mohammed stated that, "the novelty match will go a long way to enhance better working and inter-Agency collaboration between the two organisations.

The development was not only admired by Officers and men of 2 Division but by the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists. The Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalism, Comrade Adewumi Faniran was present at the occasion. 

"It is hoped that the development will not only promote better understanding between the two organisations but go further to enhance better reportage for the Nigerian Army.

"At the end of the competition the General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army Maj Gen Anthony Bamidele Omozoje praised the development and promised more collaboration with the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists.
At the end of the competition the 2 Division Tigress Volleyball Team won the competition with Gold Medal award, and the NAWOJ volleyball team were also given same gold medal.

 A total of 14,406 poorest of the poor households across 19 local government areas of Oyo State have been captured to receive N7,500 every month under the World Bank Youth Employment and Social Support Operation (YESSO). Makinde To Appoint Adviser On Labour Matters, Negotiate Minimum Wage With Workers

The Oyo State governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde has congratulated the Nigerian Labour Congress in Oyo State on this year’s Labour Day and urged them to protect the interest of their members. In a release signed by his spokesperson, Prince Dotun Oyelade, Makinde said it is pertinent for the labour union and government to engage in constant dialogue in a very transparent and sincere manner to move the state forward at the advent of new administration in the state. He further asked them to discourage members from acts of collusion with desperate politicians who are taking advantage of the transitional period in the state. He reassured the union that his administration will be labour friendly and involve them in the day to day running of the administration by creating the office of a Special Adviser on Labour Matters.
