Dividends Of Democracy: Iseyin PDP chieftain Enjoins Party Loyalist, Members To Be Patient With Govr Makinde
Iseyin PDP Chieftain, Comrade Akeem Aderoju while appealing to irate members of the party who thronged his home in Iseyin to protest the governor's inability to bring the dividends of democracy to all and sundry in the state, Aderoju enjoined party members and most especially the staunched supporters of the party to be more patient, loyal and be prayerful to the governor.
In his word, Comrade Aderoju said Makinde was a man who has the interest of the people of Oyo State at heart, adding that he had been ensuring he fulfils all the promises made during the electioneering campaigns.
Aderoju said Makinde's impact has been felt in education sector as he declared free education policy across all the public primary and secondary schools in the state, adding that the policy has been manifested as he distributed textbooks, notebooks to all students in the secondary schools and as well compelled all the principals not to collect a dime from the students.
On areas of infrastructural developments, Aderoju said the governor has not been relenting in his efforts and promises, adding that he had done the flagged-off of the reconstruction of Ibadan-Ijaye-Iseyin road last week with a view to ensuring that the people at the grassroots level are accessible to the cities.
On general dividends of democracy meant for people of the state and party members, Aderoju said Makinde since his assumption of office has been doing things one after the other.
He added that party members would soon start to enjoy the dividends of democracy, only that they all need to be more patient, committed and prayerful on the continuation of good works that Makinde has been doing.
