MAOLUD: Oyo Lawmaker Abdulrasaq Ademola (Omo Sheu) Felicitates With Oyo Government, Constituents On Occasion Of MAOLUD NABBIY.

The member of Oyo State House of Assembly and Chairman House Committee on Water Resources, representing Ibadan South East Constituency 1, Hon. Abdulrasaq Ademola Abdullahi aka Omo Sheu has felicitated with the people of Oyo State, government and constituents over the unique occasion of MAOLUD NABBIY.

You recall Friday 8, was Maulud Nabiyy, which marks the anniversary of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.).
The Federal Government had, therefore, declared TODAY Nov. 11 as public holiday to commemorate the anniversary.


In his felicitation message made available to Naija TODAY News on Saturday, November 9th, Hon. Abdullahi enjoined the Muslim Faithfuls across the state and Nigeria at large to imbibe the teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad(SAW) and the importance attached to the celebration of MAOLUD NABBIY, adding that the occasion was a unique one meant for the celebration of Prophet's birth, lifetime and teachings respectively.
While felicitating with Oyo Government, The Chairman House Committee on Water Resources used the occasion to pray for the Governor and his Deputy of the state, Engr Oluseyi Makinde and Engr Abdul-Rauf Aderemi Olaniyan whose administration has brought continuous peaceful coexistence, togetherness and betterment to all and sundry in the state, adding that the occasion  of Maolud Nabbiy was the first one in the new administration ably led by Governor Seyi Makinde, he prayed that God should continue to uphold and strengthen them the more in piloting the affairs of the state to enviable heights.




Hon Abdullahi also used the occasion to pray for his constituents over the confidence and legitimacy being reposed in him, adding that his representation at the State House of Assembly would be positively and progressively felt by the constituents.


He admonished the people of Oyo State to continue praying for the Speaker of the House, Hon. Debo Edward Ogundoyin and Governor Seyi Makinde whose new administration and dynamic style of governance has bought relief and better standard of living to the workers and generality of people inhabiting in the state.


Hon. Abdullahi said the people of the state should not be in a hurry to demand for the dividends of democracy from the governor, saying that Makinde knows the people's needs and where shoes pinch all and sundry in the state.
In his reiteration, Hon. Abdullahi said that the occasion of Maolud Nabbiy  was a unique in Islamic calendar which all muslims faithful need to imbibe the teachings of tolerance,patience,dedication and almsgiving as being exhibited by Prophet Muhammad in his life time.
He enjoined all muslims and adherents of other religions to pray for the continuous peaceful coexistence in Oyo State, Nigeria at large and as well ensure that the needy and downtrodden in the society are well taken of as at when due.

 A total of 14,406 poorest of the poor households across 19 local government areas of Oyo State have been captured to receive N7,500 every month under the World Bank Youth Employment and Social Support Operation (YESSO). Makinde To Appoint Adviser On Labour Matters, Negotiate Minimum Wage With Workers

The Oyo State governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde has congratulated the Nigerian Labour Congress in Oyo State on this year’s Labour Day and urged them to protect the interest of their members. In a release signed by his spokesperson, Prince Dotun Oyelade, Makinde said it is pertinent for the labour union and government to engage in constant dialogue in a very transparent and sincere manner to move the state forward at the advent of new administration in the state. He further asked them to discourage members from acts of collusion with desperate politicians who are taking advantage of the transitional period in the state.
