CCII Lauds Kola Balogun Over Motion To Upgrade Ibadan Airport To International Level


The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes(CCII), in Ibadan, Oyo State has on behalf of Ibadan people worldwide lauded the senator representing Ibadan South Senatorial District at the Upper Chamber, National Assembly, Senator(Dr) Kola Balogun over the sponsorship of the motion, "The Need to Upgrade The Ibadan Domestic Airport to International Level".

In a Letter of Appreciation to Senator Kola Balogun which was issued and signed by the trio of Chief Yemi Soladoye, Akogun Segun Obe and Bale Bolaji Adeleke who are President General, Secretary General and Chairman Public Relations & Democracy Dividends Committee respectively lauded Balogun for taking a giant stride at this material time.

In their appreciation, " it is noted with joy and admiration that this motion, coming after thirty-six years of Ibadan living with a domestic airport, when finally passed will provide enormous opportunities for Ibadanland,Oyo State, The South-west and Nigeria a whole based on the strategic position of Ibadan in the African Continent".

They showered encomium on him based on  the available land area, the current population and business explosion that would follow the completion of the Lagos/Ibadan Standard Gauge Rail System, the Ibadan in land Dry Port. The Lagos/Ibadan express road, the Ibadan circular road and etcetera that were brilliantly presented by the Senator.
They added that upgrading of Ibadan Airport to an international level would no doubt be in the best interest of Nigeria as a whole, in the sense that Ibadan International Airport(IIA) will come handy as an alternative airport to Muritala Muhammad Airport in the event of any repair,emergency or extreme bad weather in Lagos.

The trio on behalf of the people of Ibadanland appreciated and congratulated the senator whose representation in the senate is known for moving the important motion and as well charged other Ibadan legislators at the federal,state and local government levels to emulate the good beginning of Senator Kola Balogun in the 9th National Assembly of Nigeria.

They said the CCII, as the face and voice of Ibadanland was ready to collaborate with the senator on any issue bothering on the progress of Ibadanland through their relevant committees.
