South West APC Congratulates Fayemi at 55.

The leadership of APC in the South West has congratulated Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the Ekiti State Governor, for adding another year to his age in good health. 

In a statement made available by the APC Zonal Publicity Secretary, Rt. Hon. Karounwi Oladapo, the leadership expressed the joy and happiness at the way and manner he has restored the lost values, reputation and glory of Ekiti. According to the National Vice Chairman and South West Caucus Chairman, Pastor Bankole Oluwajana, Fayemi has done well for his people and the leadership of the Party in the South West scored him high.

Oluwajana said "We are impressed with a number of life changing policies Fayemi introduced in Ekiti state and the positive impacts of those policies are obvious, even to the blind.  Ekiti is today a destination of choice for working, living and leisure for people within and without.

"As a Chairman of the Nigeria Governors' Forum, Fayemi has stabilized the body and made the Forum a partner in progress and development with the Federal Government of Nigeria. The Governors' Forum under his watch is no longer a parallel Government that is antagonistic to the Federal authority. These and many more were what the South West leadership considered to celebrate him in a special way at his 55th birthday."

The South West leadership wishes him happy birthday, long life and prosperity.

 A total of 14,406 poorest of the poor households across 19 local government areas of Oyo State have been captured to receive N7,500 every month under the World Bank Youth Employment and Social Support Operation (YESSO). State Coordinator, Oyo State Operation Coordinating Unit (SOCU), Mrs Olaide Lasisi, made this known on Wednesday, in Ibadan, at a sensitisation of Chairmen of local government areas in the Community Based Targeting Exercise of the YESSO programme. Makinde To Appoint Adviser On Labour Matters, Negotiate Minimum Wage With Workers

The Oyo State governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde has congratulated the Nigerian Labour Congress in Oyo State on this year’s Labour Day and urged them to protect the interest of their members. In a release signed by his spokesperson, Prince Dotun Oyelade, Makinde said it is pertinent for the labour union and government to engage in constant dialogue in a very transparent and sincere manner to move the state forward at the advent of new administration in the state. He further asked them to discourage members from acts of collusion with desperate politicians who are taking advantage of the transitional period in the state. He reassured the union that his administration will be labour friendly and involve them in the day to day running of the administration by creating the office of a Special Adviser on Labour Matters.
