MEET 34-YEAR-OLD PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED MAN WHOSE DISABILITY DOES NOT HAMPER AN ATTAINMENT OF FEATS
The 34-year-old physically challenged man, Bamikunle Rasaq Tunde has been described as someone whose current disability has not in any way hampered an attainment of feats in life.
Rasaq who hails from Iseyin, Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State has despite his inability to walk properly achieved some notable feats which centre on his ability to provide solutions to all forms of infertility in both men and women through the knowledge of chemistry and natural products.
Also, Tunde in 2012 won Oyo State, National Youth Service Corps(NYSC), Batch B, State Award through Teach Yourself Bookeping Documentary and establishment of Bees Farm for the people with disability, which its produce is being shared to them every year.
In an exclusive interaction with Tunde in his home country, Iseyin, he said his current disability could not be taken nor regard as major obstacle that could restrict him from attaining feats in life.
Tunde, a graduate of Pure and Applied Chemistry from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology(LAUTECH), Ogbomoso said he was not displeased with his current condition but a motivation and challenge to triumph on areas where the able and physically balanced ones are lagging behind.
He said his attained feats and skills were not limited to the above mentioned ones but he is also creatively gifted in intra-personal communication, effective presentation, entrepreneurship, agriculture and artworks for human benefits.
On challenges that culminated into current disability, Tunde said it was slight high temperature he developed while at the age of 3 years was the major reason that triggered his current condition, stressing that all efforts and struggles were made by his parents and others but all to no avail.
on educational qualifications, he had his tertiary education at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) with B.Tech in Pure and Applied Chemistry in 2012.
His secondary education education was acquired at Muslim Secondary Grammar School, Oremoje, Iseyin(1996-2000) and School of Science, Okeho between 2000-2003, while he had his primary education at S.T Mary Special School, Isalu Iseyin between 1990-1996.
Tunde called on other physically challenged people to stop bother on their current challenges and impairment but they should channel their attention and concentration to the relevance the disability would offer them and productive impacts to the society at large.
He as well urged the physically balanced men to stop differentiating between them and the the people with disabilities, stressing that God has purpose for individual's and everyone's outlook.
Tunde called on governments at all levels to incorporate people with disabilities in their government, adding that they could be physically challenged but not mentally impaired.
