Oyo Lawmaker(Adeola) Justifies Reason For Organizing Football Competition For The Constituents


The Lawmaker representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju State Constituency at Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon.Dele Adeola has justified the reasons that necessitated the organising and sponsorship of the football competition for his constituents across the two Local Governments and two Local Council Development Areas that make the constituency.

While speaking with Naija Today News shortly after the flagging-off of the first edition of the football competition held at Faramora Stadium, Atori Iseyin  on Wednesday, January 5th, Adeola said that the reasons attached to organising of the sport activities were justifiable and substantial.

In his enumeration, he itemised that the reasons were centered on educational impacts, talent haunting, uniting the community members and for the challenges relating with Blood Pressure to be regulated among others.
On his promise, he said that the three teams that eventually secured gold, medal and bronze would be given some things better,which would subsequently trigger their interest and participation in the future editions of the exercise.

On dividends of democracy, Adeola said that his representation of the constituency at Oyo House of Assembly would facilitate infrastructural developments, empowerment, impactful developments and other dividends of democracy that are within the purview of the parliamentarian.
On functions of the legislator, he said apart from primary function of making law, he promised to ensure that  his voice is continuing to be heard, discharges effectively on oversight functions, sees to  fruitful ratification of annual budget and at large ensures his constituents are carried along on all matters relating with his representation in the legislative  chamber.

The Chairman,House Committee on Legislative Compliance said that the house has been playing its legislative roles on the current crises surrounding the local government's administration in the state, stressing that soonest peace, love and tranquility would be returned to all local governments and Local Council Development Areas.

However, the lawmaker called for a fair play and non-promotion of violence  between the two teams and their fans, so that the purpose for organising the sport  activities would be optimally achieved.
