Oyo Caretaker Chairman Commissions Projects After Few Weeks Of Office Assumption.

The Caretaker Chairman, Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon.(Alh.) Afolabi Adebayo Saliman Borikansunwon has in his determination and pledge to bring succour to people of his council area commissioned projects of infrastructural development.

While commissioning the borehole at Olopoeniyan's house, Bode, Okeho on Wednesday, February 12th, said that the borehole was fixed up and commissioned in remembrance of late political Icon, Chief Shittu Akanbi Gbenusola Olopoeniyan, stressing that the borehole was dug by  former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abass Olopoeniyan in 2011 but became dysfunctional since since 2013.

On same date, The Council Boss also commissioned the fixed borehole at Owo-Iya and the one at Adekideru, Bode, Okeho which he claimed had been dysfunctional for the past 10 years, adding that it was done with no political sentiment nor discrimination but for the benefit of all residents residing in the area.

Borikansunwon said that the borehole at Oloori Quarters, Ogan, Okeho which had been in a sorry and unused state was fixed and commissioned in remembrance of former Chairman, Kajola Local Government, late Chief Afolabi Eropese and at large, for the benefit of humanity.

He without mincing words said that the borehole at Idi-ara, Isia, Okeho was purposely re-fixed in order to show that Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) as a party believes in equal right and equal opportunity, adding that, "being that the borehole is at the domain of All Progressives Congress (APC), is a way of sensitizing them to join the umbrella party(PDP)", which he claimed,it is a typical of leadership by examples.

He said that the current administration led by him also installed the transformer that serves the people of Okeho-Iganna , Orita-Ilua, Secretariat, Ilupeju Estate and Ilero respectively.

He added that its fix was consequent upon the recent vandalization that was orchestrated by wicked people and agents of darkness whose their dastardly act rendered it functionless.

In his words of advice, Borikansunwon admonished the beneficiaries of the boreholes to ensure an adequate and proper maintenance of the infrastructural facilities, stressing that people needed to maintain the infrastructures and as well be their guards.

There were jubilation and fun fare at the respective areas where the boreholes and the transformer were fixed, the jubilants in their chorus appreciated the council boss for providing them with drinkable water and electricity.

Makinde To Appoint Adviser On Labour Matters, Negotiate Minimum Wage With Workers

The Oyo State governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde has congratulated the Nigerian Labour Congress in Oyo State on this year’s Labour Day and urged them to protect the interest of their members. In a release signed by his spokesperson, Prince Dotun Oyelade, Makinde said it is pertinent for the labour union and government to engage in constant dialogue in a very transparent and sincere manner to move the state forward at the advent of new administration in the state. He further asked them to discourage members from acts of collusion with desperate politicians who are taking advantage of the transitional period in the state.
