Ayo Fatokun Foundation, a  Non Governmental Organisation based in Ibadan whose main objective is to lend a helping hand to the less privileged of the rural communities. Lots of projects have been outlined for execution this year 2020 by the Foundation. One of such is the empowerment of the 30 youths that qualified for the Ayo Fatokun Foundation Advanced Skill Acquisition Program.

You will recall that the Foundation kickstarted a Basic Skill Acquisition Program (ABSAP) for 150 youths of Akinyele constituency 1. Of the 150 youths, 30 participants proceeded to the Advanced stage on merit. These youths have been perfecting and honing their skills in the different areas of learning and they are due to graduate. During the graduations, they would be presented work equipment so that they can earn a living for themselves. The Foundation has procured equipment and machines  which will be distributed to the batch A students undergoing the Advanced Training.

Ayotunde Fatokun, who is the chairman of the NGO briefed  journalists in Ibadan yesterday while inspecting the equipment and machines that were bought said that the batch A set will be empowered in few weeks time during their graduation while the batch B set will commence their training immediately. The equipment procured include cameras, camera bags, fabric embellishment machines, event Decoration  materials, clippers, sewing machines and many others.

Speaking with some of the participants, they were all happy for the opportunity given to them by Ayo Fatokun Foundation to learn a skill, grow and be able to provide for themselves and family, their common tone were "God will surely bless Ayotunde Fatokun and the Foundation for the opportunity. Some participants also attested to the fact that they have started making money since the end of the Basic training.
No doubt this is going to be a life changing experience for the beneficiaries as it is a form of livelihood for them.
