SUPREME COURT: Fani Kayode Warns General Buhari Over Plans to Remove Makinde.

A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Femi Fani-Kayode, has warned President Muhammadu Buhari not to meddle with the affairs of Oyo State.
The former minister of aviation, alleged the biggest mistake General Muhammadu Buhari will make is to either bribe or coerce the Supreme Court into nullifying the election that brought Governor Seyi Makinde to power.

The biggest mistake that @MBuhari can make is to either bribe or coerce the Supreme Court into nullifying the election of @seyiamakinde as Governor of Oyo state. I advise him not to tread that dangerous path because it will result in nothing but calamity, chaos and disaster. 

This statement came after the PDP in South West raised allegations that the president was planning to upturn the victory of Governor Makinde at the Supreme Court.

This was said in a meeting, which was attended by top PDP members like the Deputy National Chairman, Yemi Akinwonmi; the Vice Chairman, North West, Senator Ibrahim Kazaure; National Vice Chairman, South West, Dr. Eddy Olafeso; and Dr. Doyin Okupe.In a tweet yesterday, the former minister advised the president not to tread that dangerous path, as it would result in nothing but calamity, chaos and disaster.

 A total of 14,406 poorest of the poor households across 19 local government areas of Oyo State have been captured to receive N7,500 every month under the World Bank Youth Employment and Social Support Operation (YESSO). Makinde To Appoint Adviser On Labour Matters, Negotiate Minimum Wage With Workers

The Oyo State governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde has congratulated the Nigerian Labour Congress in Oyo State on this year’s Labour Day and urged them to protect the interest of their members. In a release signed by his spokesperson, Prince Dotun Oyelade, Makinde said it is pertinent for the labour union and government to engage in constant dialogue in a very transparent and sincere manner to move the state forward at the advent of new administration in the state. He further asked them to discourage members from acts of collusion with desperate politicians who are taking advantage of the transitional period in the state. He reassured the union that his administration will be labour friendly and involve them in the day to day running of the administration by creating the office of a Special Adviser on Labour Matters.
