BREAKING: Oyo Federal Lawmaker Detain By Police, Seize His Phone

The Nigeria Police Force is allegedly holding hostage a member of the House of Representatives representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency, Hon. Shina Peller, at Moroko Police station, Lagos State.

A statement sent to OYOINSIGHT.COM by Peller’s Press Secretary, Mr. Kola Popoola, called on the Nigeria police to immediately release his boss.

The statement reads: “Hon. Shina Peller was at Moroko police station to bail some of Club Quilox’s customers who had allegedly parked on the road during a show at the Club.

“Prior to the kickoff of the 36hours non-stop show which usually holds every year at Quilox, Hon. Peller had informed the concerned Lagos traffic authorities to avoid unnecessary traffic gridlock.

“On getting to Moroko police station, the police started harassing Hon. Peller and even went as far as seizing all his phones for no reason.

“The continuous harassment and unjust detain of a member of House of Representatives, Hon. Peller, by the police calls for urgent attention of the media, and the commissioner of Police,” the statement added.

Speakership: Group Disagrees With Ajimobi Over Support For Gbajabiamila

A group of youth in All Progressives Congress APC in Oyo state has frown at the Senator Abiola Ajimobi’s directive that House of Reps Members elect in the state should suppport a member of the National Assembly from Lagos state Hon Femi Gbajabiamila against wish of the state to produce the next speaker. Senator Ajimobi had at a private meeting held at his Oluyole resident with some members elect direct the lawmakers to support Hon Gbajabiamila as the speaker. BREAKING: Popular Evangelist, Reinhard Bonnke is Dead

German Pentecostal evangelist, Reinhard Bonnke who is principally known for his gospel missions throughout Africa is dead aged 79. A post on his official Facebook page explained that he passed away peacefully and was surrounded by his family. “It is with sorrow that the Bonnke Family would like to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke,” the statement read. “He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on December 7, 2019.
