Oyo Assembly Prays to Executive Arm To Tighten Security Against Killer "Herdsmen"


The Oyo State House of Assembly this Thursday, call on the Executive arm, led by Engineer Seyi Makinde to Tighten Security Against Further Incursion By Killer Herdsmen.

The house made the prayer at its plenary on Thursday(TODAY) following a motion moved by the Deputy speaker, Hon. Abiodun Fadeyi and co-sponsored by Hon. Ayo Fatokun, chairman parliamentary council.



After 2hours of deliberation, the House resolved to call for a tighten security against the spate of killings, kidnapping, rapes and other vices by brutish herdsmen in the South Western States and Oyo State in particular with a view to curtailing the ugly trend.

The speaker of Oyo state house of assembly, Rt. Hon. Debo Ogundoyin, then nod to the I's of those in favor that the executive arm of government in conjunction with security agencies in the state intensify efforts towards finding lasting solutions to the incursion by Fulani herdsmen. 


It would be recall that Naija TODAY News reported that, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde hosted a Security Summit of South West States in Ibadan, Tuesday June 25, 2019 to find a lasting solution to insecurity in Oyo state and other neighboring states.
