Former President and Director of Media and Publicity of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS)/Joint Campus Committee respectively, Fawole Isreal, has debunked a write up released through a "blog site" alleged him of treating the management of the above institution.

The Headline goes thus:
LAUTECH-SU: IN DEFENSE OF OUR UNION; A UNION-LESS SEMESTER AGAIN

Fawole Isreal react in a statement released by him below :

RE: LAUTECH-SU: IN DEFENSE OF OUR UNION; A UNION-LESS SEMESTER AGAIN?

"I find it very strange and insulting that the above titled story that I knew nothing about was published with byline. I therefore find it imperative and pertinent for me to write this rejoinder to  clear my name and register my pleasure at the conduct of whoever published that story without recourse to me".

Fawole therefore stated that:

1. He knew nothing about the write up and was shocked to find it credited to me.
2. If you ask me, I am aligned to the content of the piece  of the piece which to me remains unestablished , untruthful, bias , irrelevant, and lacks every iota of objectivity.

3. He do not know the aim of the publisher of such article, and I stand to call the attention of the general public and Lautech populace, especially to the need to disregard the jargons of confused thoughts of the  writer.

4. He found the efforts of the current University management under the leadership of Professor M. O Ologunde at taking Lautech to her promise land, commendable and one that every right thinking person should applaud.

5. It has become noticeable that Management is striving hard to achieve the vision of the university which is, “ to make Lautech  a centre of excellence for the advancements of technology in meeting Socio-cultural needs of the society“, and the mission which is “ to provide suitable conditions for the advancement of knowledge through research and learning; produce self-reliant graduates, apply technology-driven knowledge to creativity and positivity impact on the global environment and be the epitome of integrity and service.

6. In my opinion, reacting to the subject matter of the write up , I will say I am keenly indifferent about the decision of the management to put on hold the students union leadership, the must have been the best out available options in the interest of the general student populace to give a deserved decorum to allow all sundry to be focused on primary assignments and goals of the university.

7. However, in efforts of the university management to improve the general welfare of her students , the students union was not left vacant , caretaker committee was appointed to allow a continuous and robust relationship and communication between the students populace and the management.

8. Furthermore, the management in its wisdom has been magnanimous promoting various students' activities and programs , especially the extraordinary students who arr doing well in representing the image of the University.

9. He stated some of the efforts of the university management that he had personal encounter with :

(a) The management has been having several meetings with security agencies and also funding them to protect the lives and properties of all students in different catchment areas.

(b) The university health centre is not what it used to be anymore , the health center is more equipped and stocked with medications to enhance the quality of services administered to students who need medical attention.

(c) The management is building an ultra modern hostel for the satellite-campus students at Osogbo in accordance with the master plan of the institution.

(d) Also the general over-haul of faculties in tandem with global standards and NUC requirement and various international collaborations

(e) Provision of 33kva for electricity distribution at the ogbomoso Campus and so on.

10.We cannot appreciate less the efforts of the management to ensure that the students populace have stable academic calendar against all odds in other for the students to recover lost times to series of hiatuses that university has faced .

11. It is in lieu of this that I write to the general public to disregard the purported essay, and we all should cooperate and support these enigmatic fathers and mothers running the affairs of our great citadel of learning. We are ready for the Lautech Next Level.
