MAKINDE:We Are Committed to Fixing The Deplorable Olorunsogo-Amuloko-Akanran road

Oyo State Governor  Seyi Makinde has  promised  traditional rulers  in the state  roles  in his administration.

Makinde said this  during   the  celebration of  the birthday of the Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, Oba Francis Alao.

The governor, who was represented by a former federal lawmaker, Babatunde Oduyoye, said the task of  repositioning the state could only be achieved if traditional rulers were given the opportunity to discharge their duties effectively in their  domains.

He said  monarchs  in the state  would be allowed to perform their statutory roles of  preserving  culture and tradition.

Makinde added that his government was committed to fixing the deplorable Olorunsogo-Amuloko-Akanran road in Oyo.

The immediate past governor of the state, Abiola Ajimobi, congratulated  Oba  Alao, who he described as “a noble traditional ruler who exercises his sovereignty over his subjects with a kind heart”.
