Oyo PDP To Ajimobi : Stop Jeopardizing Oyo State Treasury.

The Oyo State People's Democratic Party PDP, has warned against immoral directive of outgoing All Progressive Congress APC government in the state, with an attempt to fleece LGAs and LCDAs treasury.

In a statement released by People's Democratic Party PDP state publicity secretary, Engr Akeem Olatunji, stated that,  Governor Abiola Ajimobi has ordered immediate backdate and swearing-in of supervisory councillors, secretaries by the council chairmen.

"It would be recalled that, the federal High Court had stopped  the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC)  from conducting elections into the 33LG and 35 LCDA areas pending the determination of substantive suit.

Whereas the election later held on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Not long ago, the state government through the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftancy Matters had borrowed each of the councillors 100,000 for the Eid-l-fitr celebration in June, 2018. This was after they had jointly requested the state government to provide an operational guidelines so as for them not to know what their entitlements are.

The government failed to conduct swearing-in of councillors, secretaries up till now because the poll which brought them in, was described as "stage managed fraud" by the good people of Oyo state".

The directive of the outgoing government is quite wrong, morally bad, a sheer administrative incompetence, crime and tort of fraudulence.

The People's Democratic Party PDP,  hereby call on the stakeholders, meaningful and respected people in oyo state to call order the tort of fraudulence action of the outgoing government of Senator Abiola Ajimobi and promise that the incoming government of Governor Seyi Makinde, under the umbrella of People's Democratic Party, will return the lost glory of our pacesetter state.
