The Oyo State African Democratic Congress ADC Leader and Governorship candidate in just concluded 2019 elections, Senator Solagbade Olufemi Lanlehin (SOLAN) has felicitates with their overall leader, Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleosho, on the occasion of his 81st birthday, TODAY. Sen Olufemi Lanlehin describing the Saki-born politician as a democrat par excellence, role model, and believer in truth, fairness and equity.

Former Oyo South senatorial district representative and leader of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State, appreciated God in the life of Chief Koleoso (the Babalaje of Saki) for the giant strides he's been taking in his over four scores sojourn on earth, as well as his innumerable philanthropic gestures, which show him as a man with a large heart.

Lanlehin who commended Chief Koleosho, former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, and National Chairman of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), for being a worthy leader, dependable ally, and committed party man, maintains that the Nigerian polity needs sincere statesmen like Chief Koleosho in her journey to progress, peace and prosperity. 

Lanlehin urging budding politicians to take a cue from the life of Chief Koleosho whom he described as a living legend. He further  maintained that his principled stance, loyalty and commitment to worthy causes proudly advertise him as a shining example worthy of emulation.

While rounding-up his message, Senator Lanlehin wishes Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleosho good health, vigour and vitality, as well as inspiration and insights in steering the ship of progressive politics in Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.

You would recall that, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin was the governorship candidate of African Democratic Congress ADC in just concluded 2019 general election and later joined coalitions with People's Democratic Party PDP candidate, Engr Seyi Makinde and other Four(4) parties to send the ruling party All Progressive Congress APC in Oyo State out the system, which brought the emergence of Engr Seyi Makinde as Oyo State Governor elect in 2019 governorship election

 A total of 14,406 poorest of the poor households across 19 local government areas of Oyo State have been captured to receive N7,500 every month under the World Bank Youth Employment and Social Support Operation (YESSO). State Coordinator, Oyo State Operation Coordinating Unit (SOCU), Mrs Olaide Lasisi, made this known on Wednesday, in Ibadan, at a sensitisation of Chairmen of local government areas in the Community Based Targeting Exercise of the YESSO programme. Noting that the 14,406 households amounted to 58,435 individuals in its register of beneficiaries to collect N7,500, Lasisi said the state coordinating unit had also just identified another set of 14,594 households in the remaining 14 local government areas as potential beneficiaries. Makinde To Appoint Adviser On Labour Matters, Negotiate Minimum Wage With Workers

The Oyo State governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde has congratulated the Nigerian Labour Congress in Oyo State on this year’s Labour Day and urged them to protect the interest of their members. In a release signed by his spokesperson, Prince Dotun Oyelade, Makinde said it is pertinent for the labour union and government to engage in constant dialogue in a very transparent and sincere manner to move the state forward at the advent of new administration in the state. He further asked them to discourage members from acts of collusion with desperate politicians who are taking advantage of the transitional period in the state. He reassured the union that his administration will be labour friendly and involve them in the day to day running of the administration by creating the office of a Special Adviser on Labour Matters.
