Oyo APC, PDP In Trade Word Over Ojoo Market.

This is just as the party alleged that the council boss, Hon. Olumide Alli, mobilized ‘heavily-armed’ thugs to chase the traders.
The party, in the statement, alerted the people of the state “that the All Progressives Congress, APC, has set a dangerous plan in motion to tarnish Engr Seyi Makinde and PDP images by mobilizing a large number of political thugs and miscreants sympathetic to the outgoing APC government, moved them into a concealed location, provided them with PDP regalia and uniforms, armed them with weapons and filter them into specific areas of Oyo State to disturb public peace and in most cases appropriate markets and open spaces to some APC patrons.”
The party added that “impeccable information had it that the impersonators have gone to NET market at Ojoo in Akinyele South LCDA, the miscreants were allegedly sent by the Chairman of the council, Yakub Alli, and they fully dressed in PDP uniforms with strict instructions to chase away the traders and created the impression that the incoming PDP administration of Engr Seyi Makinde is responsible for their plight.
“This is to inform the general public that the incoming PDP government of Engr Seyi Makinde has not yet assume office and has no power to evict anybody from his or her means of livelihood. The public is, therefore, advised to report anyone disturbing public peace to the nearest police station while those perpetrating the illegality are advised to stop forthwith, as it amounts to impersonation.
“The same advice goes to members of the outgoing APC government in Oyo State to caution those using the government instruments to oppress the poor masses to be man enough to use APC uniforms in carrying out their nefarious activities without mudslinging the hard earned reputation of PDP and her leader who also double as Oyo State governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde.“
But speaking to OYO INSIGHT, Alli said that the PDP allegation is far from the truth.
According to him, “The land belongs to the federal government. It was when I came on board in 2017 that I made a case for the usage of the land for trading purpose. Twice, the authorities attempted to send them away from the location, we pleaded on their behalf until they said they did want trading activities in the area anymore.  And that was why the new place was created for them.”
