JUST IN: Tribunal Upholds Senator Buhari’s Victory As Oyo North Senator

The Oyo State National and State House of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Ibadan, on Tuesday upheld the election of Sen. AbdulFatai Buhari as the duly elected Senator for Oyo North Senatorial district.

In a judgment delivered by Justice Sambo Daka on behalf of the three-member panel, the tribunal said the petitioner, Hon. Mulikat Akande-Adeola failed to establish the allegation of corrupt pratices, overvoting and non-compliance in the election.

Unity Forum Adopt Monsurat Sunmonu As Its Leader, Congratulate Seyi Makinde.

Members of the breakaway faction of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, Unity Forum, have adopted Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu as its leader.   This is just as the group, at a meeting held today In Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, congratulated the governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde over his victory at the March 9, 2019 governorship election. A group of youth in All Progressives Congress APC in Oyo state has frown at the Senator Abiola Ajimobi’s directive that House of Reps Members elect in the state should suppport a member of the National Assembly from Lagos state Hon Femi Gbajabiamila against wish of the state to produce the next speaker. Senator Ajimobi had at a private meeting held at his Oluyole resident with some members elect direct the lawmakers to support Hon Gbajabiamila as the speaker.
