Oyo Govt Charges Nigeria Police to Be More Committed to the Unity, Oneness of the Country, Through Effective Policing.
Oyo state government has charged Nigeria police to be more committed to the unity and oneness of the country through effective policing.
Governor Seyi Makinde stated this while receiving the Squadron officers of the Nigeria Police who paid a courtesy call at the Executive Chamber Agodi Secretariat Ibadan
The 68 Squadron officers of the Nigeria police led by the team leader ACP Livingston Orutugu, was received by the Deputy Governor of Oyo state Engr Rauf Olaniyan at the executive chamber Secretariat Ibadan
The Squadron commanders of the Nigeria police was at the Oyo state seat of power to identify and appreciate the state government for their support.
The Deputy Governor Engr Rauf Olaniyan who delivered the message of Governor Seyi Makinde said the government have great trust in the Nigeria police to provide adequate security in the state.
The Number two man in Oyo state also charged the senior officers of the Nigeria police to see unity and oneness of the country as collective responsibility of all and sundry.
Engr Rauf Olaniyan stressed that the state government would continue to work harmoniously with police and other security operatives to strengthen the security architecture of Oyo state
The team leader of Squadron commander, ACP Livingston Orutugu said the 68 senior police officers have been trained to tackle security challenges in Nigeria
According to him,the task ahead the police are enormous hence the need for training of the senior officers of squadron.
The 68 squadron commanders comprises 68 Assistant commissioners of police were drawn from 36 states of the federation.
