Oyo PDP Condoles With Party Chairman Over Wife's Death

The Oyo State Peoples Democratic Party PDP, has condoled with the State Chairman of the party, Alh Kunmi Mustapha, over the death of one of his wives who died on Wednesday at University College Hospital in Ibadan after a brief illness.

The Party (PDP), through its Publicity Secretary, Engr Akeem Olatunji, said the party “is anguished and deeply saddened by the tragic incidence.
“While we share the pains of losing a loved one, we prays that the Almighty God give the bereaved family and other loved ones the strength to withstand the tragic loss and also grant the dead eternal rest.

In a condolence message made available to journalists on Thursday in Ibadan, the party said "it was heartbreaking for a man to lose wife, the party identifies with Alh Mustapha’s agony at this trying period.
It said, “your wife’s untiring support in an extremely busy and action packed political career cannot be overemphasized. Her departure must have left you with so much sorrow".

"We believe in your capacity to overcome these painful loss. May Allah grant you and your family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
We pray that you will not sorrow again in the remaining days of your life. May the soul of the departed rest with the Almighty Allah in perfect peace".

 A total of 14,406 poorest of the poor households across 19 local government areas of Oyo State have been captured to receive N7,500 every month under the World Bank Youth Employment and Social Support Operation (YESSO). Makinde To Appoint Adviser On Labour Matters, Negotiate Minimum Wage With Workers

The Oyo State governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde has congratulated the Nigerian Labour Congress in Oyo State on this year’s Labour Day and urged them to protect the interest of their members. In a release signed by his spokesperson, Prince Dotun Oyelade, Makinde said it is pertinent for the labour union and government to engage in constant dialogue in a very transparent and sincere manner to move the state forward at the advent of new administration in the state. He further asked them to discourage members from acts of collusion with desperate politicians who are taking advantage of the transitional period in the state. He reassured the union that his administration will be labour friendly and involve them in the day to day running of the administration by creating the office of a Special Adviser on Labour Matters.
