JUST IN: Why Ladoja Was Absent At Seyi Makinde Inauguration.

The personal secretary to senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Mr Lanre Latinwo has revealed why the Osi Olubadan was absent at the yesterday's inauguration. 

Latinwo in a statement obtained by Mouthpiece NG on Thursday said baba was conspicuously absent due to the remembrance of his promising son, Debola Ladoja who gave up the ghost on 29th May, 2014.

The statement read: "The death of 31years old Debola Ladoja a promising son of the former Governor of Oyo State exactly 5 years on 29th of May this year was responsible for the absence of the Ibadan High Chief Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja at yesterday's swearing in ceremony of Engineer Oluseyi Makinde as the Governor of the State. Debola was working in a financial organization before he met his untimely death on the early hours of  29th May, 2014.

 "The former Governor kept the reason to himself in order not to dampen the high spirit of the people around him. This fact was also hidden from the Governor himself out of respect for the occasion and what it meant to the people of the State when he visited High Chief Ladoja where he stayed up till the time of breaking of the day's fast
This information is necessary in order to calm the anxiety that has gripped the people.

 A total of 14,406 poorest of the poor households across 19 local government areas of Oyo State have been captured to receive N7,500 every month under the World Bank Youth Employment and Social Support Operation (YESSO). State Coordinator, Oyo State Operation Coordinating Unit (SOCU), Mrs Olaide Lasisi, made this known on Wednesday, in Ibadan, at a sensitisation of Chairmen of local government areas in the Community Based Targeting Exercise of the YESSO programme. Makinde To Appoint Adviser On Labour Matters, Negotiate Minimum Wage With Workers

The Oyo State governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde has congratulated the Nigerian Labour Congress in Oyo State on this year’s Labour Day and urged them to protect the interest of their members. In a release signed by his spokesperson, Prince Dotun Oyelade, Makinde said it is pertinent for the labour union and government to engage in constant dialogue in a very transparent and sincere manner to move the state forward at the advent of new administration in the state. He further asked them to discourage members from acts of collusion with desperate politicians who are taking advantage of the transitional period in the state. He reassured the union that his administration will be labour friendly and involve them in the day to day running of the administration by creating the office of a Special Adviser on Labour Matters.
