JUST IN: Buhari Nominates Emefiele for Another Term

President Muhammdu Buhari may have nominated the Central Bank Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, for a second term, THISDAY checks have revealed.
It was gathered Thursday morning that the President has sent a letter nominating the CBN governor for another term to the Senate President in line with the CBN Act.

Unity Forum Adopt Monsurat Sunmonu As Its Leader, Congratulate Seyi Makinde.

Members of the breakaway faction of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, Unity Forum, have adopted Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu as its leader.   This is just as the group, at a meeting held today In Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, congratulated the governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde over his victory at the March 9, 2019 governorship election. Insideoyo.com  recalls that some of the leaders of the group returned to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) after the poor outing of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the Presidential and National Assembly election. Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, on Tuesday, inaugurated the Board of the Oyo State Agency for the Control of AIDS (SACA), noting that dealing with the scourge of AIDS “is of utmost importance to his administration.” Governor Makinde stated that though there had been some progresses with regards to anti-retroviral medication, abstinence from sex remained the best way to control the spread of AIDS. A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, indicated that the Wife of the Governor, Engr.
