Oyo Speaker(OGUNDOYIN), Seek More Prayer For Govt Than Before



The Speaker,Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin has harped on the need for clerics to continue to remember the administration of Gov Seyi Makinde in their daily prayers and devotion to enable him take the state to a higher pedestal of growth and development as promised during the election.

Hon Ogundoyin stressed the essence of prayer for the state Government while addressing members of Ibadan Baptist Conference at their 7th annual anniversary held at Hebron Baptist Centre,Idi Isin,Ibadan.

The Speaker said the present administration in Oyo state was a manifestation of God's faithfulness adding  that God is already working miracle in the state as evidence in the notable achievements of the Governor in just about one hundred days in office.

While speaking on one of the themes of the anniversary, Hon Ogundoyin who quoted Matthew chapter twenty verses twenty-one and twenty-two urged people to learn to forgive others noting that God will not forgive peoples inadequacies if we hold grudges against one another.

"We are often denied the Lord's blessings because we do not forgive others. To continuously receive favor from God we must forgive those who wrong us."

Speaking earlier, the President Ibadan Baptist Conference, Rev Stephen Adeyemi Adekunle urged all elected and political office holders in Oyo state to dwell in the secret place of the most High by putting him first in everything they do.

Rev Adekunle later led other Baptist Clergy in a special prayer for peace and security in Oyo state as well as for growth and development.

Ibadan Baptist Conference has about two hundred and fifty churches spread across Ibadan and Ibarapa.
