Hon. Wale Ajani Congratulates Engr. Seyi Makinde, Urges Him To Change the Status Quo

The ADC Candidate for Ona Ara Constituency and former President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Hon. Comrade Wale Ajani specially congratulates the  Governor-elect in Oyo state, Engr. Seyi Makinde on his epoch-making electoral victory on March 9th governorship election, and wished him a most-productive tenure, filled with the fulfilment of every campaign promises.

Hon. Wale Ajani said as the honeymoon is about to be over and the call for meritorious service is about to ring aloud, the Governor-elect should remember that the electoral victory, is unequivocally a call for indefatigable service, a quest to ameliorate the errors of past administrations, and a mandate to prove the difference between the past and the future of Oyo state.

He further said that the masses are looking forward to huge performance from the Governor-elect, as a result, he enjoined Engr. Seyi Makinde to declare 'state of emergency' on Oyo state economy and education on his assumption of office to rescue the state's aggravating economy, thereby reducing the increasing rate of poverty and hunger among the people.

On the other hand, he said such pragmatic step, would also help fix the educational sector which is currently experiencing a downturn.

The legislative candidate for Ona Ara State Constituency in the March 9th election added that it was also necessary for the Governor-elect to convene Oyo State Investment and Economic Summit within six months in office, which would help bring prospective genuine investors to the state; project available economic and employment opportunities in the state to prospective investors; and rejig the state's floundering monolithic economy.

As a long-time crony to Engr. Seyi Makinde, Hon. Wale Ajani expressed confidence in Makinde's  capacity to deliver the expectations of the masses maximally.

He, however reminded the Governor-elect that he is a youth representative, and he should give the youths, who are embodiments of innovations, creativities and strength to serve in his administration.

He also tasked Engr. Seyi Makinde to harness his exposure and global crisscross to introduce innovative programmes and policies that will benefit the masses and make Oyo a true Pacesetter state.

 A total of 14,406 poorest of the poor households across 19 local government areas of Oyo State have been captured to receive N7,500 every month under the World Bank Youth Employment and Social Support Operation (YESSO). Makinde To Appoint Adviser On Labour Matters, Negotiate Minimum Wage With Workers

The Oyo State governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde has congratulated the Nigerian Labour Congress in Oyo State on this year’s Labour Day and urged them to protect the interest of their members. In a release signed by his spokesperson, Prince Dotun Oyelade, Makinde said it is pertinent for the labour union and government to engage in constant dialogue in a very transparent and sincere manner to move the state forward at the advent of new administration in the state. He further asked them to discourage members from acts of collusion with desperate politicians who are taking advantage of the transitional period in the state. He reassured the union that his administration will be labour friendly and involve them in the day to day running of the administration by creating the office of a Special Adviser on Labour Matters.
